Nettles Stirrups are constructed w/ six pieces of Oak laying on top of one another this design cushions & softens the pounding on a rider's hips, knees & feet.
One of the best features of al in the Nettles Stirrups is the use of only the highest quality materials on the market - from wood to leather to steel. Add exceptional craftsmanship and you've got a stirrup you can trust!
Nettle Stirrups provide added security should a horse fall with you, unlike aluminum or wooden stirrups wrapped with metal which might catch your foot in a squeeze, Nettles Stirrups will most likely withstand the pressure.
NS-75 The 75, the pin of the "75" is off-centered so that it hangs at a slight angle, helping to keep the rider's toes up & heel down. The 75 also sits the rider deeper in the saddle providing better balance & comfort. It's slight "S" shaped sides is a weight distributor that the enhances the toes-up ride, and offers the rider freedom from the traditional stirrup's closed sides, 2 1/2", 3" & oversize overshoe tread widths. NS1000 The Trailblazer is built identically to the 75 stirrup, but comes with a different tread. instead of the traditional tread, the Trailblazer offers a high impact rubber tread. This stirrup is perfect for people with ailing knees, comes in 2 1/2", 3" & oversize overshoe tread widths. Stained or Varnished.
NS1060 Flatbottom, 1" Red Oak Stirrup is the most narrow tread width, also available in oversize overshoe. Stained or Varnished.
NS1062 Flatbottom, 1 1/2" or 2" Red Oak Stirrup. The 2" stirrup has the highest volume of sales since a 2" tread is a comfortable fit for the average size foot. This stirrup is used by a lot of our barrel racers too! Available in oversize overshoe. Stained or Varnished.
NS1066 Flatbottom, 2 1/2" or 3" Red Oak Stirrup is another big seller, this stirrup is really popular with many reiners, ropers & trail riders, available in oversize overshoe. Stained or Varnished.
NS1068 Flatbottom, 4" or 4 1/2" Red Oak Stirrup is preferred by the cowboys that spend a lot of time in the saddle. Stained or Varnished.
NS1006 The Roper, laminated Red Oak Roper doesn't warp & has enduring strength. Add those features to our flatbottom stirrup designed for extra comfort, easy exit & you've got the ultimate stirrup for ropers. Available in 2 1/2" Deep Roper, 3" Deep Roper & 3" Team Roper. Stained Or Varnished.
NS1010 The Oxbow, our Oxbows have a wider middle for extra comfort & easier exit. If you are an Oxbow fan, this is the stirrup for you. Available in 1" Petite Round or 1" Round. Stained or Varnished.
NS1010-O The Oxbow available in 1 1/2" & 2", Stained or Varnished.
NS1004 The Short (Petite) Stirrup, Narrow feet? short legs? the Petite stirrup is just right for you. Measuring 5" in height, the Nettles Short Flatbottom stirrup is an inch shorter than the regular stirrup which sets it lower on the rider's leg, thus eliminating shin pain from too tall stirrups. The inside dimensions of 4 3/4" also fits the foot better, keeping it more secure in the stirrup, 1 1/2" or 2". Stained or Varnished.

Specialty Woods Besides constructing stirrups in Red Oak, we also build stirrups in other woods which put them in a class of their own. We use a primary stock of Seven exotic woods, but we are always on the look out for that special wood to create an absolutely gorgeous yet functional stirrup.
